To Split, with a swim on the way
Two to three hours north of Dubrovnik, the coast becomes a long line of pebble beaches with the Biokovo mountain right behind them. In summer it is the obvious place to break the drive to Split.
Pick Makarska for a promenade full of cafés and restaurants, or Brela for pine trees and quieter water.
