The Bay of Kotor, one town at a time
The bay cuts deep into the mountains of Montenegro, and the road follows its shore. This trip keeps a gentle pace: Perast, Kotor and a few viewpoints in between.

Perast
Kotor
The plan
Perast
Baroque palaces on the waterfront and boats out to Our Lady of the Rocks.
Kotor
The old town inside the walls. Lunch, a walk through the lanes, or part of the climb to the fortress.
Bay viewpoints
Stops on the way back where the whole bay opens up below the road.
Good to know
Each person needs a passport or ID card. The border can take time in summer, so the day starts early. Boat and fortress tickets are paid separately.
