From the stone of Ston to the green Neretva delta
A day of contrasts: medieval walls in the morning, a new bridge at midday and the flat green delta of the Neretva in the afternoon.
The delta is farming country, with canals running between mandarin orchards and reed beds. In autumn the mandarin harvest is on and you will see the fruit sold along the road.
